“Adolescent girls who suddenly identify as trans in adolescence…are likely a mixed bag of at least three groups: some kids who are going to be transgender no matter what therapy they are given; kids who would naturally have outgrown their dysphoria on their own and preceded to live as gay adults; and some contingent of teenage girls who just have borderline personality disorders and who have a kind of faux gender dysphoria, which they have identified as the locus of their unhappiness.” – Irreversible Damage
While humankind attempts to liberate itself from the global Coronavirus pandemic, news of a darker, more sinister contagion looms. Bored, depressed, and maladjusted teen girls, numbed with medication to address numerous afflictions, began surfing the web for solace. What they found were questionable mentors in the form of transgender YouTube stars, enticing them into a lifestyle that most will never escape.
In Abigail Shrier’s 2020 book, “Irreversible Damage”, Shrier explores the global phenomenon of transgenderism among teenage girls. An unlikely group, based on a century of gender dysphoria research, these girls are now doping on testosterone, in record numbers. Giving voice to their personal stories, along with their parents, their influencers, and their doctors, Shrier tells a fascinating, yet horrifying tale of underage girls making irreversible decisions without the aid of a doctor’s advice or therapy.
Gender dysphoria is an established condition that typically involves boys at a very young age (2-4) and usually affects a very small percentage of society. In fact, studies have shown that more than 70 percent of these children will outgrow their dysphoria before reaching adulthood and go on to live as gay adults. Over the past decade, however, we have seen an explosion of teenage girls, with no history of gender dysphoria, suddenly self-identifying as male. Once a very rare, individual malady, has now been transformed into a flourishing group sport.
Today, clusters of girls from the same school are making joint decisions to identify as boys. In far too many instances, all that is needed is a quick trip to the nearest clinic to score their gender-affirming serum, in the form of testosterone. Astoundingly easy to obtain, Planned Parenthood, is now one of America’s top suppliers. Within weeks and months, young girls are growing body hair, seeing fat redistributed, and making their boy dreams a reality. After testosterone has done its magic, most of these budding boys will move on to the next stage, the removal of their lady breasts. Fortunately, only a few will continue to full transition, ala bottom surgery, with most opting to live life as a hybrid.
And through all of this, trans-girls-to-boys are getting little support from the medical community. “Watchful waiting” therapy, where medical personnel take a wait-and-see attitude before finalizing treatment, has been replaced with “affirmative care”, where teens self-diagnose without the benefit of psychoanalysis or doctor’s care. Past the first hurdle, minor girls in many states, are then able to obtain testosterone without their parent’s knowledge or approval. Worse, many in the medical community simply ignored other psychological anomalies in these girls who present themselves as trans, even though sixty-one percent of teens with gender dysphoria are known to suffer from other disorders. Similarly, many schools permit students to change their name and their gender in the classroom, while keeping parents in the dark.
In 1875, “The Gingerbread Man” story told of a woman who made a gingerbread man but lost him when he escaped her oven while baking. He dodged laborers and farm animals before he was eventually conned and then captured by a fox who ate him right up! In woke America, that quaint old tale has been updated under a new title: “The Genderbread Person”. This character teaches small children about social construction theory, and how society can shape their biological sex, gender, and sexuality. By the end of the day, these children are returning home with a new vocabulary to share with their parents: butch and femme.
Public schools first brought gender ideology into the classroom under the Trojan horse of anti-bullying. The propaganda starts in kindergarten, where children as young as 6 are taught that their gender is fluid. One day you can be a girl, and the next you can be a boy. The language accelerates as children pass on to middle and high school, where full-gender assignment surgery is lauded and encouraged.
Unsurprisingly, signs of trouble are starting to percolate in the UK, where gender transitioning can begin as young as 3 or 4. Now, a significant number of trans teens and young adults are regretting their decision and looking for a way back. Actual numbers are difficult to obtain as these “traitors” are often vilified by the LGBT community and are afraid to speak out. As Shrier suspects, future lawsuits are likely to stop the spread of this rapid-onset gender dysphoria in the months and years to come.
Teen years are a difficult enough time to navigate without the added burden of life-altering hormones and surgeries. Public school officials and members of the medical community have lost their conscience. Time will finally expose the depth of their depravity.
