The Most Secure Election in American History

“At the drop of a hat, America's electoral system went from irredeemably corrupt and broken in 2016 to unquestionably safe in 2020. Voting methods that were allegedly used to steal elections in 2004 and 2016 suddenly became sacrosanct and unquestionable in 2020.” – Rigged

Just months before the 2020 election, Democrat Senators Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar, and Ron Wyden sent a disturbing letter to the owners of Dominion Voting Systems suggesting that their machines were producing statistically impossible results.  At the same time, FBI Director, Christopher Wray, warned of certain election interference from both Russia and China.  Claims of potential voter suppression led daily cable news outlets for weeks before the voting even started.  Yet, once Biden was declared the winner, and they had achieved the outcome they wanted, all concerns inexplicably disappeared.  Instead, we were assured that we had just experienced the “most secure election in American history”. 

Yet, before the electoral dust was even settled, election irregularities began to be revealed.  In Columbus, 50,000 Ohioans were mailed incorrect ballots, as 28,000 erroneous ballots landed in Allegany, Pennsylvania mailboxes.  In Wisconsin, unconstitutional drop boxes were used to collect ballots while chain of custody problems followed ballots deposited in drop boxes in Georgia.  In Detroit, ballot counters covered windows from prying eyes, while Republican poll watchers were denied entrance in Philadelphia, both indisputably confirmed via video.  Several states stopped official ballot tallying in the early evening, while private counting continued with handpicked staff.  These were just the tip of the 2020 voter fraud iceberg.   Hundreds of lawsuits were filed, mostly from election integrity groups, but unfortunately, the majority were dismissed without a hearing, or any opportunity to provide any evidence in a court of law. 

While claims of voter fraud continued, Joe Biden was officially installed as President on January 20, 2021.  Within days, journalist Molly Bell could hardly wait to spill her secret about a shadow cabal in a Time Magazine article dated February 4, 2021.  In this tell-all anti-Trumper equivalent to OJ Simpson’s “If I Did It”, Bell confessed to how individuals representing corporations, the media, academia, the federal government, US intelligence, and Big Tech colluded to assure that Donald Trump would never win another election.  They changed election laws and voting procedures, hired their own poll watchers, and dumped hundreds of millions of dollars into swing states.  State legislatures, who have sole responsibility for election policies, were usurped unconstitutionally by courts and election officials working in cahoots with these self-appointed saviors. 

What became known in progressive circles and the corporate press as the Big Lie was the insistence that not accepting the results of the election was a threat to our constitutional republic.  Yet, the bogus 2016 Russian collusion story that dragged on for two years was given no such name.  In fact, in the past two decades, Democrats called the 2000 election, the 2004 election, and the 2016 elections illegitimate, while claiming that the 2008, 2012, and 2020 elections performed perfectly. 

In Molly Hemingway’s 2021 book, “Rigged”, Hemingway confirms the fears of many voters that 2020 was all but ideal.  Beginning with Trump’s 2016 surprise victory and the turbulent years that followed, Hemingway reviews the Russian collusion investigation, the multiple impeachments, and the ongoing media lies and distortions.  She shows how the Democrats, with the help of the media, used COVID and the George Floyd riots against Trump, hid damning information about the Biden family, and then worked with social media to censor Trump and his Republican allies.  Then through a comprehensive look at changes to state voting laws and procedures, Hemingway does what the corporate press wouldn’t.  She confirms that there is more than enough evidence to ask questions and demand answers over multiple election irregularities.   

As we near the mid-term election of 2022, Democrats are advancing their old bogeyman of voter suppression, where political wannabes ala Stacey Abrams are attempting to make their mark.  Every year 40 million Americans change residences, while an additional 3 million die.  That’s over 43 million potential voter rolls that need to be updated.  Keeping this information current is critical to a secure election.  In fact, in a September 2020 study, Judicial Watch revealed that in 29 states and 353 counties, voter registrations exceed 100 percent of eligible voters.  By refusing to allow these regular adjudications, Democrats like Abrams are working against a free and fair election by calling the removal of ineligible registrations, voter suppression. 

In 2021, Democrats also created a new bill named for John Lewis, a deceased Georgia Democrat, who ironically skipped not only the Trump inauguration, believing the 2016 election was illegitimate, but also the George W. Bush inauguration, for the same reason.  Their bill, in part, includes the addition of felons to the voting rolls, minimum early voting, mail-in ballots, and mandatory drop-off boxes.  Attempting to institutionalize many of the problems seen in the 2020 election, the bill also seeks to overturn existing state ID laws, by allowing exceptions to the rule.  Unsurprisingly, the bill doesn’t include a national Voter ID despite polls showing nearly 80 percent of Americans support it, including 69 percent of blacks, and 60 percent of Democrats. 

Any hint of fraud is enough to cause distrust in the system.   To restore election integrity, Republicans must attempt to rein in some of the more egregious areas of mischief.  Returning to single-day voting with limited absentee ballots will help to restore confidence.  As it appears more and more unlikely that the dishonest Democrat Voter Bill will pass this year, Biden and his supporters are already crying foul as they brace themselves for a potential routing coming their way this fall.  Fortunately, the most secure election in American History looks to be a one-off for the time being.
