“Society is changing not out of consensus, but out of fear.” – Woke Racism

In November 2021, serial criminal, Darrell Brooks Jr., sped his SUV through a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin killing 6 and injuring 62.  Only days earlier, city prosecutors had released Brooks on low cash bail, following another incident involving his car and a woman’s body.  Offering low or no cash bail to violent criminals is a recent scheme of the woke crowd’s idea of reparations.  But this social disease has gone too far, releasing felons back into society to commit even more crimes.

Unfortunately, this is just one of the countless crazy ideas coming from the hard left.  In fact, if you, too, have been progressively born again, you also believe that gender is a social construct, men can birth babies, and some individuals must be called by their plurals.  If a biological man simply puts on a skirt, “she” should be allowed to crush longstanding women’s sports records without complaint.  These newly defined social norms are now being defended by actual academics and otherwise intelligent people.   And if you want to continue to be accepted in polite society, you must accept this obvious blasphemy, too.

Yet, above all, the most important element of this new social thought is their approach to racism, developed over time by an elite class of scholars.  Over the last fifty years, several attempts to right past wrongs were evidenced in a bevy of welfare programs, affirmative action plans, and one anti-racist policy after another.  Today, racism is being repackaged as white supremacy, a privilege baked into the capitalist system, where all whites have benefited, and no minority has a chance.  Thus, the only possible solution is to exact revenge.  Whites, and their abettors, must themselves be prejudiced with a new kind of racism; cleverly replacing the overcoming of racism with the weaponizing of racism.

In John McWhorter’s 2021 book, “Woke Racism”, McWhorter reveals how the far-left progressive movement and its followers are more of an orthodox faith, than a reasoned philosophy.  They are, in fact, the woke upper-class critical race theory crowd.  Referred by McWhorter as the “Elect”, “Electivism” is a religion of the chosen.  With their wisdom superior, and their message sacrosanct, their goal is to transform America into a new society steeped entirely on race.

While we have been using ideology to describe the modern woke movement, religion is a more accurate term.  It is secular in nature, with all the benefits of something sacred.  McWhorter identifies whiteness as their original sin, “White Fragility” as their bible, and Ibram X. Kendi as their high priest.  Its acolytes are blameless, while its enemies are heretics.  Racism is their Satan, a golden statue of George Floyd, their Baal.

Using the fact-free 1619 Project to rewrite history, they are redefining America as racist from the time black slaves first arrived in Virginia.  The American Revolution, instead of fighting to end slavery, was actually fought to defend it.  By playing to white vulnerability and fear, they plan to implement their new strain of progressivism, using guilt over things that whites never did and cannot control.  Doing so leads liberal whites to believe that since their skin color is unearned, they must atone for their privilege through the empty act of virtue signaling.

As such, today’s antiracist movement is largely political theater.  Rather than addressing their deficiencies, blacks are taught to focus on their oppressors, and not themselves.  Then by trusting their white subjugators to remove the yoke that binds them, there is no need for self-reflection or self-reliance.  While sane America calls for more consequences and accountability, anti-racism has settled on a reversed unearned privilege for blacks.

The Protestant Reformation was a quasi-religious and political movement that led to a shift in structure following abuses by the Catholic Church.  Today’s pseudo anti-racists are working to create their own shakeup, free from traditional religion, but personified in their own woke dogma.  Their dangerous ideas are the antithesis of the American belief that all men are created equal.  Only by recognizing and defeating this irrational theology, can we finally put an end to its corrosive influence.
